Need a Consult
Some treatments require a deeper understanding of your health before we move forward. At Rx Functional Medicine, we believe personalized care starts with listening, evaluating, and creating a plan that’s right for your body — not a one-size-fits-all solution.
This page explains which services require a consultation and why, and helps you take the right next step.
Why These Services Require a Consultation
The following services involve ongoing care, medical oversight, or individualized treatment plans. Because of that, a consultation with our Nurse Practitioner is required before ordering or beginning treatment:
-
Hormone Replacement Therapy
-
Functional Medicine Care
-
Semaglutide Weight Loss
-
Peptide Therapy
During your consultation, we’ll review your health history, symptoms, goals, and—when appropriate—lab results. This allows us to determine whether a treatment is safe, appropriate, and likely to be effective for you. Many of these services involve customized dosing, monitoring, and adjustments over time.
This step isn’t a barrier — it’s an important part of delivering safe, thoughtful, and personalized care.
Ready to Get Started?
To move forward with any of the services above, you’ll need to schedule a consultation first. Choose one of the options below to book your consult or learn more about what to expect.
Schedule a Consult
Schedule an initial consult with our functional medicine Nurse Practitioner. After booking and before your visit you will be sent some questionnaires and forms to fill out. Visits can be booked in house or as telehealth. Our NP is only licensed to see patients in MA and we do accept most insurances.
Schedule a Follow up
After labs are completed we recommend you schedule a follow up visit with our NP to go over the results and treatment plan. Treatments typically include a mix of lifestyle, nutrition, supplements and hormone replacement therapy recommendations. Because we use bio-identical hormones, they are not always covered by your insurance.
Begin Your Wellness Sessions
Once your treatment plan is complete, you can begin the personalized wellness services recommended for your needs. This may include IV infusions, peptide therapy, hormone optimization, aesthetic treatments, or other therapies designed to support your energy, balance, and long-term wellbeing.
